PROTOCOL EDUCATION: KS2 SEN Teacher required at 'Good' school in Essex


We are working closely with a Special Needs school in Colchester, Essex who are looking for a KS2 Teacher to start working with them in September 2013

Our client is a thriving and rapidly expanding special school for pupils aged 3-19 with complex learning difficulties (SLD, PMLD, ASD)

The schools latest OFSTED was 'Good' with 15 elements of Outstanding. The school are currently undergoing a new management structure. They have just gained Autism Accreditation status

The successful candidate will need to have a clear understanding of how children with SEN develop and learn and it would be extremely advantageous if you have experience of working within an SLD/ PMLD/ ASD school. It is essential that you have a working knowledge and understanding of curricular needs of pupils with learning difficulties.

Although not essential, previous experience of managing responsibilities would also be useful as the successful candidate will be managing a small team of LSAs

The school are looking for a teacher who has a strong team ethic, who is happy to assist with personal care and medical needs. You must have a commitment to the educational, spiritual, health and moral welfare of children in your care.
